About Draconis Festival
Festival Draconis is also a non-profit organization (NPO) dedicated to promoting the role-playing hobby in Quebec, by holding one-off and/or regular events, and by offering services to help role-players improve their skills.
Each year, the NPO holds an in-person event in Montreal. It offers more than a hundred role-playing game sessions for beginners or advanced players. Offered games go from classics like Dungeons & Dragons and Call of Cthulhu to the latest independent local role-playing game. In any case, the event is totally free and open to all the diversity.
The organization team is made entirely of volunteers and the role-playing games are offered by members of our excellent community.
Anyone interested in role-playing can become a member of the organization. There are no specific requirements. A membership in the organization grants the following rights:
- Participate in the General Assembly and other meetings of the organization.
- Equal voting rights with all other members on various decisions.
- Propose topics for discussion at meetings.
- Equal voting rights with all other members in the election of the Board of Directors.
- Run for a position on the Board of Directors.
- Participate in all activities of the organization, as a member of the organizing committee or as a participant.
A General Assembly will be held each year, during which the Board of Directors will be elected. Other meetings may be organized as needed. Meetings take place on our Discord server.
